The Rumors are True...

Great location, small place but plenty of amenities. I particularly like that no children are allowed. The oil is a great size, lots of seating, and shade options. I've also appreciated the reception drinks and snacks. It's a great place to stay alone, as a couple, or your can get the bigger suite room for a small family.

Real rating a 4.5 stars. Excellent service from Nate I think his name was. They gave amenities at the pool which is mostly a 5 star hotel kind of thing. There was a wine and cheese hour, complimentary breakfast. Room was clean with a big private balcony It was great. Only complaint was the bathroom door which was on a sliding rack that didn't close the door all the way and gave no privacy at all. But besides that would definitely go back!

My new favorite place to stay in Palm Springs. The room was so cute and opened up to the pool/hot tub area. Daily happy hour was a great time to mingle with the other guests either in the lobby or by the pool. The staff was friendly and helpful. And Nate at the front desk was a delight. You can always tell how good a hotel is by how they handle a problem. There was an issue with the pluming in our room. We were moved to another room while ours was being fixed and then back to a spotless room for the rest of our trip. We will definately be staying here again. Added: we stayed here 2 more times. And will be coming here everytime we are in Palm Springs. The staff is friendly and very helpful. A great hotel to stay if you want to really relax.

While I sadly cannot say how the hotel itself is due to a stupid mistake I made, the service is wonderful. When I explained my mistake to them, they were extremely kind and gracious, and immediately helped me. While I may not be staying with them this time, if the hotel is as nice as the service, I will absolutely be staying here the next time I am in Palm Springs.

First time staying here and we loved it. No kids being loud and splashing in the pool. We were able to just float around and enjoy a pool day. Nate at the front desk is great! Continental breakfast is definitely a plus. Close to the main strip and casino. AC was working wonderfully during the hot weather. Everything was wonderful! Nothing bad to say. We will be back.

A great find to break journey from Morro Bay to Phoenix... So glad we did!!!! A welcome break after the LA traffic and so glad we didn't attempt straight to Phoenix. A lovely comfortable duplex room with large balcony.... V quiet - both in terms of location and other guests... Handy for main strip of palm springs... About a 10 mins walk... Pool was soooo welcome... In 110°f the AC was working hard but was ok once temp increased a bit. V comfy beds... And a nice, if basic, continental breakfast... So good we changed our plans and stayed final 2 days of our holiday here!!!!

Checkin process was easy . Location is great. So many good cafe and restaurants around. Rooms very spacious.

The first weekend in May of 2025, my girlfriend, who lives in LA, and I - from AZ - got together for a Palm Springs adventure. We chose the Movie Colony Hotel because it's adults only (very quiet), centrally located for restaurants, and, most of all, dog friendly. Our stay was amazing. I brought my two dogs with me - not small dogs - and they were totally welcome, and both our rooms had private patios, which was so convenient for me with my dogs. They could go outside onto the patio, and not be harnessed and leashed, and I was able to sit out there and relax while they hung out. The rooms are very nice, and, did I mention - quiet? The pool area is very nice, and, well...quiet. They provide a continental breakfast and a wine and cheese get together in the afternoon. We loved our stay there!
